Gratitude List

In my attempt to improve life with gratitude (you get back what you send out, and all that), this page is reserved for my frequent reminders to myself why it is I'm grateful for the day, my life and its blessings.

I can imagine that some days the list will be much shorter - or longer - than others.

As additional blog pages don't provide the option to add posts as the main page does, I'll have to repeatedly edit this one.  For that reason, I'm not sure if I should change the list each time I post or just add to it.

Perhaps allowing it to continuously grow would serve as a healthy reminder that I really don't have it as bad as I often complain.  (I'm very good at the complaining - loads of practice!)

For now, I'll allow it to grow and see where it goes.

May 30, 2010
Breathing!
Got to spend a few hours watching a movie with Mom
Got to spend a few hours on my own writing

May 29, 2010
I'm breathing (I guess I should prolly include this one every day??)
I slept for something obscene like 12 hours last night
I am enjoying the first of three days in a row OFF
I have good books enough to last me all the long weekend

May 26, 2010
I had a nice blueberry muffin for breakfast
I enjoyed lunch with a good friend
I spent the afternoon with people I enjoy

May 25, 2010
I acquired a new book today
I got to spend time with a good friend
I received much good energy from said friend
I'm aware that I wrote eloquently - if not rather aggressively - this evening
I began a new page focused on loving myself - something at which I think I might actually WANT to become better

May 22, 2010

I LOVE making lists of things that I want... makes the wants feel more real and have-able... this makes me excited and hopeful as though these are things I'm actually going to have

May 20, 2010 (11:28pm)

I experienced something intensely energetic this afternoon (a Reiki I re-attunement)
I heard my favorite love song today

May 20, 2010 (12:19am)

Even mediocre romantic comedies can make me feel hopeful
I have more than half of my current jewelry layaway paid off
All three massage clients I worked on this afternoon rescheduled AND made it clear that they love my work
I bought a new book
I actually have felt somewhat positive today that I will soon begin making more money on a regular basis

May 17, 2010
I'm breathing (we all have to start somewhere - shutup)
I am loved by my Mother
Reading makes me happy and provides an enormous amount of stress relief
I love my dog and cat, and they love me
I'm a good massage therapist
I love my pillows and assorted sleeping cozies - they're soothing, they stay where I move them and they don't elbow me in the middle of the night
Artichokes are not only the tastiest thing on the planet, but also good for me

Not too shabby for a first try, right?

Tune in to see what gets added tomorrow.
